Complete Cricket are delighted to announce details of their first ever Fielding Masterclass. The fielding masterclass will be led by Level 4 coach and Northamptonshire C.C.C head fielding coach, Cookie Patel. Cookie Patel is the Regional Training Manager within the ECB’s Coach Education team and works with Tutors and Assessors across the Midlands and Wales.

As well as the lead fielding coach for Northamptonshire C.C.C, Cookie is the England Womens‘ fielding coach. He has played a huge role in helping them in winning the world cup, he also works with the England Women’s Academy, U19′s and U15′s squads.

Cookie plays an active role at Northamptonshire C.C.C, a role which he has fulfilled for the last four season, working with players of a 1:1 basis and having responsibility for performance development and match day warm ups as well as supporting the head coach.

Fielding is the most important aspect to cricket as you will spend more time fielding that batting or bowling. Developing the correct techniques at a early age are crucial to success. Fielding is an area that every young cricketer needs to develop and learn to enjoy how important a role it plays in achieving team goals.

The fielding masterclass will focus on catching, throwing, diving techniques as well as excellent warmups and small sided games.

Tom Smith has become a top coach for Complete Cricket. Currently a ECB Level 2 coach, Tom works with a number of schools, clubs and individuals to improve their skills. Tom is also U11′s and U13′s Solihull District Coach.

Younger brother of Complete Cricket Coaching’s Head Coach, David Smith, Tom is Sunday 1st team captain at Knowle & Dorridge CC and is a very promising young batsman and off spinner.

Since 2001 Chris Davidson has been coaching cricket at different levels. Having started with the junior section at Knowle and Dorridge CC he became one of the head coaches for both Knowle and Dorridge and Solihull District Cricket Board.

Dominic started coaching for Complete Cricket in 2012 at the winter coaching programmes. Dom spends a lot of his time working with young batsman passing on some invaluable knowledge.

Dominic currently works with King Henry’s School as coach and also plays for Berkswell C.C in the Birmingham & District Premier League.

David is a Level 4 qualified coach who has scored more than 15,000 first class runs and has run a number of batting masterclasses for Complete Cricket.

Complete Cricket are delighted to announce details of their highly successful Pace Bowling Masterclass with Alan Richardson.

The pace bowling masterclass will be led by 2011 Professional Cricketer of the Year and current Worcestershire C.C.C, ex-Middlesex and ex-Derbyshire and ex-Warwickshire  pace bowler, Alan Richardson. Alan Richardson has played over 150 first class games taking almost 450 wickets at an average of 28.23.

Alan Richardson enjoyed his best season to date in 2011 taking 73 first division wickets at an average of 24 and being named professional cricketer of the year. Alan played in every championship game for Worcestershire in 2011 and also bowled the most first class overs and maidens, which was more than any other bowler in the country.

The Pace Bowling Masterclass will focus on teaching young bowlers the art of bowling pace. The pace bowling masterclass will also give aspiring pace bowlers the opportunity to learn techniques, mental skills and physical skills required to succeed at the highest level of the sport.

Current Warwickshire captain and England International Jim Troughton has played 140 First Class games scoring over 7000 runs with a high score of 223 and a first class average of 35. Jim has represented England on 6 occasions his last appearance against South Africa in 2003.

Jim Troughton is also handy left arm spinner and one of the best fielders in county cricket.
